Day 10 – Parking

My desk at work is right beside the window and often something will catch my eye –  usually someone trying to park. It is actually quite amusing to watch from above as people attempt to park. No one has any idea where their back end is and only a general idea of their front end.  In the picture below, there was plenty of room for the driver to just drive in, back up and been done.  Instead, he chose to parallel park….you know, park beside the front car, back into the spot.  Except it took about 15 movements back and forth because he had no idea where his car starts and ends.

This was his second last move before he finally gave up, sat for a few minutes, then drove away.  As you can see, there is nearly a full car length between him and the vehicle behind, yet he would only move back another foot while trying to manoeuvere into the spot as if he was hauling another half a car behind him.

Let me know in advance if you come visit the PAB complex so I can observe and rate your parking ability.
